Stupid kids. Stupid people. Stupid idiots that live around me.
Someone friggin broke the passenger side window to my car last night/this morning.
EDIT:
Yeah... so someone broke into my car this morning. Considering I didn't get home til 1AM, it had to be this morning. And I think it's my car alarm that woke me up at 6:45AM. But by the time I realized I was hearing it in real life and not in my dream, jumped up and looked out the window, the alarm had stopped and there was no action by my car. So I figured I really was dreaming. Then I realized the time and thought, "D'oh! I'm late!" When I unlocked the car at 7:25 and it did the funny chirpy thing it does when it isn't locked properly, I started thinking about the alarm I heard "in my dreams" again.
Then I saw the shards of glass on the seat.
The last time someone broke into my car, twisted the steering-column in their process of pulling The Club off the steering wheel and walked off with the face-plate of my head-unit. (The Club really does work!) So, I was expecting something like that.
But y'know something? Nothing was missing. And the only thing amiss was the broken glass. I had flipped down the faceplate of my head-unit so it wouldn't be obvious that it was there, but that was still intact. There were some CDs in the passenger seat. I had my bookbag with most of my textbooks and my laptop in the back seat (yeah, I know... careless of me.) And some components for my Senior Design project. Nothing was missing. Even the penny on the floor and the change in the 'cup-holder'... still there.
So, while I was pissed about the inconvenience of being late and the expense of fixing the window, I really am grateful I didn't lose more.
