A Lasting & Loving Marriage.

I believe each person, whether they admit it to themselves or not, desires a deeply loving and lasting relationship with another person. Someone with whom they can completely be themselves without any restrictions, knowing the other person will always accept them and be there for them through thick and thin. That kind of love is a piece of heaven on earth. You don't see this kind of lasting and loving marriage often. And the cynicism of the world can make you feel that it's a pipe dream. I'm a romantic so I'd like to think that I'd believe it's true even if I didn't see it. Forunately, I have seen this unicorn; it really does exist.

My paternal aunt and uncle are the epitome of such a relationship. They've been married for 56 years, but you'd almost think they're still in their honeymoon, yet somehow know each other for a lifetime, perhaps in a previous life. You can feel the love when you're in their presence. My cousin did a beautiful job of capturing it in his latest blog-post. This is so beautiful that I cried reading it.

The Years Go By

This is exactly what I want. And I'm proud of it.

family, marital bliss
