[At first there is mumbling in German as he attempts to dial a number on the phone. Agitated, he raises his voice.]

Is this thing even--!

[A brief pause. When he speaks again it's with a forced calm.]

Right. This morning I awoke in a strange house and there is some lunatic woman here claiming to be my wife. If this is some kind of elaborate ( Read more... )

Oh, good morning, Germany. You can try to walk out of the town, but it does loop in on itself.

Ah--let me see... I know Austria is here, as well as England and America. Spain, too--I think I heard Denmark, and then Iceland. [thinking thinkg give her a second]

It changes rather frequently. Oh, I can see if anything of yours survived at my house, if you would like. We were in the same house the last time you were here, but there's another person who is supposed to be the father, now.

You won't remember, of course. I was here before, but I don't remember that at all. It's really rather odd.

Suppose it's true, then; I have been here before now. Surely someone would have noticed my disappearance? My boss, for example.

It is very odd--I don't know quite how it works. Everyone's bosses should have noticed their absence. But there is some sort of disconnect between our world and this one, and it's as if time in our world has paused.

I've heard theories, but no one truthfully knows what's going on. Regardless of what you believe, please take care around the drones--some of them are quite dangerous.
