personality;

Germany is a hard-working man with a slightly pessimistic view on life, as well as being an efficient perfectionist. He likes to keep things neat and is the sort of person who would much rather adhere to a tight schedule than be spontaneous. He's borderline OCD when it comes to cleaning and doing things exactly by the book, as any slight break in routine really does upset his happiness. Due to this, he's pretty highly strung and always seems to be stressed about one thing or another. To him, everything is very serious business. He will take even the most trivial tasks and put his all into them. His ideology is that if you're going to do a job, you might as well do is properly.

He highly values his privacy and hates to be pestered, but Germany does get lonely. Although he tries not to dwell on the thought, his too-serious attitude can make it hard for him to befriend people, unless they happen to be over-clingy Italians who fail at reading the atmosphere.

Generally rather stoic, he does have a very short fuse. He is prone to raising his voice and shouting even though he doesn't realize what he's doing, and has no idea that it actually makes him even more intimidating than usual. Italy is usually both the cause and target of his frustrations, so he tends to yell at the other country more than anyone else. However, depending on the person, He will feel rather bad afterwards about raising his voice, even if he can justify that the situation called for it. Although he's generally a very controlled, reserved man, his true feelings come out when he's drunk, especially his anger and what he really thinks about people.

Germany has only ever known war, and therefore he can easy come across as stand-offish and untrustworthy of people. Since he  for as long as he can remember he's been surrounded by enemies. This doesn't mean he enjoys war, but he just has to make sure he fights well and keeps on his toes. However Germany doesn't really enjoy his current situation: hated by millions of people simply for following his boss' orders. Although he would never admit it, he does want friendship and he values his friends. He'll drop anything just to help them out of a tough situation. He's a very good guy to have on your side; he's extremely loyal and he takes care of his allies and is willing to run around and protect them (especially Italy), even if he might complain about it.

Despite that stoic air about him, Germany is easily embarrassed, probably due to his obsession with appearances. He likes other people to think he's organized, reliable and perfectly capable of any task given to him-- even if he knows that he isn't. Close contact also makes him feel incredibly awkward, but, depending on the person, Germany won't have the heart to deny the affection. Too much. When it comes to fun and leisure activities, he may have to be forced away from his work and chores, but he'll eventually loosen up (as much as is possible for him) and enjoy himself. He may come across as stand-offish at first, but really he's just a bit of an awkward guy. Although he's confident enough in his masculinity, he has secret less-than-manly hobbies such as baking and reading romance novels. He also has a bit of a soft spot for animals, especially dogs.

He appears to be very serious and knowledgeable about a lot of things, but in actual fact Germany doesn't know much about understanding other people or have much experience with socializing. Ever since he can remember, he's constantly been at war and surrounded by enemies. Sadly, Italy was his first proper friend and the startling revelation that someone actually wants to be around him is still a bit of a strange concept to him. He has a number of books relating to trivial topics in life, such as how to comfort people, making friends and love. Let's just say he's not the right person to confide in about personal problems. Feelings are hard, okay? Sometimes he has difficulties understanding other people, can be completely oblivious to their feelings or his own towards them, but he tries his best.appearance;

Germany looks about twenty years old and is fairly tall. Due to all that training he does, he's solidly built and in extremely good physical condition. He has blue eyes and blond hair that he prefers to slick back to keep his fringe out of his eyes. He is also quite pale. He can usually be seen in his military uniform, but when he's training he wears tank tops and his casual wear consists of a white shirt and a waistcoat. He also wears glasses if he's working with his hands or reading.history;
