CL, I had lunch in there a coupla times, It's okay. I mean it's a shopping centre, you know like a shopping centre anywhere really. It's worth a walkthrough just to look and I did get good coffee there. It's near Southwark Cathedral and Borough Market (which if its on, would be a crime to eat in basically a boring coffee shop when the markets is the best food in London). Anyway they are all close. If you are doing that Tate Modern walk to the Market, it's there on the south side of the Thames Path. Because that whole area along the Thames Path is basically aimed at tourists, it is pretty touristy in terms of costs and what they have on offer, but it's okay. The architecture is what is worth the wander, and there is a great sculpture in there as well. Gorgeous!

Having said that, it used to be a brew house, so if you love a brew or six, you can sit there and watch the Thames go by and drink up! And the ceiling in there is just beautiful. But again good for a wander around for fifteen minutes, not really for shopping. You know from there you really want to walk down to Tower Bridge and walk over it (if you are up for walking!).

Sorry mate, not too sure about the LJ issue!

Thanks for your take on that. My plan was to spend my last day in London at the Tower of London in the AM, make my way across the river, and wander back down towards The Globe/Tate in the afternoon. Unfortunately, Borough Market is not open on Wednesdays (if I read the website correctly). After that, I would make my way back to the hotel, drop off any loot I picked up on the way and then, as a grand finale, MAAN one more time (one for the road, as it were). Home on Thursday :-( .
