I've been doing a lot of reading and have a tentative plan about where I want to go and what I want to see. I've also been looking at a lot of websites. There's so much information available about things to do, it's a bit overwhelming. I suppose this time around I will see a lot of the regular touristy spots.
These are the books I've been looking through:
There's so many London books on the shelf at the bookstore, I didn't know where to start, really, so I bought a few that looked interesting.
On Friday, the day I arrive, I'll probably have a look around a few exhibits at the British Museum, since it loos like a walkable distance from my hotel. Saturday, of course is MAAN w/Caz Day! I don't have anything in particular planned for Sunday. Monday I have a ticket for a special exhibit at the V&A Museum, a museum which looks a lot more interesting to me than the British Museum, if the website is anything to go by.
Tuesday I hope is a day w/BMG (I said hopefully?) and Wednesday morning is a LondonWalk at the Tower of London. Wednesday evening is another performance of MAAN with the Dynamic Duo and Thursday is go-home day.
I wanted to include Covent Garden in my explorations as well and The Shakespeare Globe Theatre and one of the Tate Museums (haven't decided which). I looked into getting a ticket for The Globe ahead of time, but the website said getting a ticket ahead of time doesn't earn you any advantage in line, like getting in quicker, so I'm wondering what the point would be to get a ticket in advance. If anyone has any advice, I am all ears! I also was hoping to see inside one of the cathedrals.
So that's the tentative plan!
On a not-so-related-but-kind-of-related-note, I suppose I wasn't surprised, but still was a little disappointed to see some of the reviews for MAAN were less that stellar for our heroine CT. Granted, many of the reviews were positive, but the ones that weren't, weren't very nice at all. I'm glad I get to see for myself and make my own decision. :-)
