Okay, I figured it's time for a real update. I've been in D.C. for a little more than two weeks and I love it. It's busy and loud, but it's oddly comforting always having people around. I also love how diverse the city itself is. At point point you are surrounded by huge buildings like in Manhatten, then a few metro stops away you are in a neighborhood.
I work with about six other interns at the art gallery, promoting WVSA Arts Connection, which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to teaching inner city kids, and disabled youth art and business skills related to the arts. I love the mission of the organization. it's definitely something I'm passionate about. I've been trying to explore the city as much as possible, but still get lost... all the time...
I still have so many more things I want to do and see and I'm working on building my portfolio too.
And as mentioned previously, come visit me!!!! :)
