Life is busy!
Worked all day today at REI from 10-6:30. It was a busy day with the REI anniversary Sale. I really like working there - just with I made more money. When I add up what Mike can make in one hour compared to me - he's made the amount of money I make in 8 hours in 2 hours...oh. well. I'm enjoying the people and the break from kid duty. I do miss my little people when I've missed out on bedtime and soccergames... It's made Mike allot more helpful and compassionate. Really looking forward to school letting out for the summer. I want to take my kids camping allot and hiking. This month has been so incredibly full - I blew my car up yesterday - it overheated and I just wasn't paying attention - singing songs with the kids in the car etc.... so poor mike's calling all over the place for a new engine, luckily he's very social and likeable and i've got a borrowed Minivan parked in front of the house for the next couple of weeks use. This month is the "month of Angela" month - my 40th birthday, wedding anniversary, and mothers day. I've got 3 camping spots for my birthday celebration. everyone's camping and eating schmores, etc... nothing planned for the wedding anniversary - a kiss and pat on the butt. mothers day: working all weekend. I think I'm going to have a all girls slumber party- the family will be gone to race Mikes car far away. so I'll have 2 nights and 3 days to myself - unfortunately, I'll be working...(fortunately). today mike brought the kids to my work - i was so suprised. they were sooo freaking cute and sweet... they hung out with me and "helped" while mike and his dad found and bought a sun hat. I just can't get enough of those two little beauties. they drive me crazy , but than i just want to smoosh on them and tickle them. Carly said the funniest thing at bedtime:
me: "carly time to get your jammies on - which ones do you want to wear?"
carly: "mommy let's just be silly"!
me: tickle,crazy play.
kids are such a good reminder of just loosening up and having fun.... when I get stressed out my beautiful son asks me: mommy why aren't you smiling? (drats, need to stop stressing!)......
