Recs again!
We almost, almost went a recs post without Avengers-related content, but then Darcy happened. All fic, except for Inception artwork tucked away in that part of the post. (Hey look, ma! I've finally finally seen Inception!)

Sokka of all people knows how dangerous a non-bender can be. This is effectively a what-if story, asking the question What if AtLA hadn't been a children's show? Lovely treatment of the material that takes the story to a darker place while still keeping it slotted neatly into the world as established.

In which Sokka and Katara never discover the boy in the iceberg and canon picks up ten years later than it should. The world does not look the same, but hope isn't yet lost. The story focuses in on Zuko, Aang, and Yue (with a generous helping of Iroh), but has cameos by all of the main cast.

I'm pretty sure the fandom crossover is all the reccing it needs, but I'll elaborate. Subtle, deft melding of the two verses with really excellent character voices and OCs. Eames' mother sparkles and explains so much about her son just by being (and steals your heart just for her, because she's like that).
