This is a lovely bit of holiday cheer! It does the opposite of suck -- I really enjoyed it.

I really loved this fic, especially because Martha, again, told him exactly why she couldn't travel with him again--even after the kiss and the nice gifts. And the Doctor was vulnerable to her, understood that she was perfectly in the right, and STILL came back and told her his feelings without any expectations after it. Wonderful job!

That absolutely did not suck.

It was sensitive, well written, and I love the way Martha was able to say no, while still loving him, but needing to heal, and the doctor respecting those needs.
