(no subject)
i'm exhausted so this post will probably not make too much sense organizationally. i want to record my experience in the car with Nada Surf before I forget though. also, i don't feel like pressing the shift key often since i'm typing from a weird angle lying on my bed.
i was in the passenger seat while christie drove two of the Nada Surf members to their hotel. we talked about their gig the night before in Alabama, how they took turns driving the van, why it's better to rent a van than to purchase one, rock stars living with their clocks turned 3 hours ahead, having 25-hour clocks, having the leap year day in its own "dimension" by placing it between Dec. 31st and January 1st. Also, while touring, the time zone changes get tricky and if your hotel room's clock doesn't have the right time, your watch is in Alabama time, your laptop is in California time...C'mon, at least the hotel room could be courteous enough to have the right time! One of the guys was Ira (sp?) and the other spoke French on the phone. Or maybe that was the same person. i liked the one guy's blond dreads and he other guy's anti-bush hat. i don't really care for bashing any political party, but i just liked the attitude conveyed. Their manager called my cell phone and i saved it in my contacts just for fun.
i saw bwc and colin from grooveshark. and i'm pretty sure i saw john from grooveshark talking to emperor x. oh! Pishko from Binary Forest Faux Pas, Snare and a Chair, and School Glue dude played drums for Emperor X.
i had an all-access pass and got to see the room with all the cheese cubes and other snacks. i wasn't allowed to touch the cheese cubes though. i wanted a cheese cube. i'm about to pass out now. nap time.
