Gig tomorrow at 1982 bar! I get to break out the electric violin for the last two songs, Lullaby and Camaro. Also, there's mandolin in those two songs and then the Hockey Song as well. Not to mention COWBELL in a few pieces. haha, what a goofy sound. It makes me smile.
Sent two recordings of us to The Never booking agent. Ugh, i think the recordings sound pretty bad, but we had to send something. The two songs were recorded on a really tight schedule, one mic hanging in the middle of the freezing cold garage (terrible acoustics i should add), and then the vocals recorded separately so we could at least balance that out with the instrumentals. Even though I sound like i'm complaining, it was quite fun.
I have a Managerial Accounting Exam on my Birthday so that means I should read and work problems out for 5 chapters within the next two weeks. I read Chapter 1 in the library this evening though. I also have to improve my annotated bibliography presentation for my honors class at 1:55PM after my 9:35-11:00AM class tomorrow. But alas, I'm tabling for MEISA from 11:30-1:30; hopefully someone will cover for me for an hour. Then food at 3 after the presentation, Accounting class at 4:05, make an appearance at the Battle of the Bands, band practice, then get some food together with the rest of the band, and then SHOW TIME!
Oh and February 15th, I'm performing in the Orchestra at the University Auditorium at 7:30PM and then FBoC has a gig at the Shamrock right after. I think I'll have to play the show in the all black proper orchestra attire. High heels and rock n rollin on an elevated stage with lots of cords sounds like a bad idea though...should be interesting.
