Victorique spread the books around her, frowning as the lines in front of her began to blur. Stubbornly, she leaned forward, flipping through the nearest book, trying to catch a glimpse of anything that would keep her mind occupied. Her brow began to twitch as useless words rushed past and she flopped forward with a groan. Damn Kazuya Kujo. She was bored. And it was all his fault.
The sound of footsteps reached her ears and she quickly sat up, rearranging her dress and reaching for her pipe. She reached for another book, casually flipping through the pages. As the familiar sound neared, Victorique took a long drag from the pipe, waiting for him to greet her. She refused to show any weakness in front of him, but she couldn't stop her eyes from lighting up at the sight of the candy he held in his hands.
Perhaps Kujo had his uses every now and then.
