[Avatar] Katara, Toph - Go Not Gently
Katara trips, shooting an accusatory glance at Toph who only whistles innocently. Aang and Sokka have long learned to let the two girls work their problems out alone - Sokka ending up with a black eye and Aang nearly losing an arm from previous attempts to mediate.
The water whip is quickly pulled into use, splashing Toph in the face. Sokka hides behind Aang who wisely chooses to stay quiet.
Soon, both girls are laughing, comparing fighting styles, and even talking pleasantly to one another.
Sokka turns to Aang and sighs, "Girls..."
Aang only nods in agreement.

[Avatar] Iroh - Green
After careful measurements and gentle handling, the pot is carefully placed upon the flame - not too hot and not too cool - and Iroh smiles. The wonderful scent of the green tea leaves combined with the perfect amount of spices drifts through the small apartment and Iroh feels at peace.

[Avatar] Katara/Aang - Slipping
It had happened so gradually that Aang barely noticed - one day Katara was the girl who traveled with him, the next she was the girl who made him tongue-tied. He found any excuse he could to train with her or just talk to her about the most random things. Katara would smile patiently and offer her undivided attention. It was enough for now, but Aang eagerly awaited the day when she would see him as something other than a friend.

[Avatar] Katara/Zuko - Slipping
Tears burned behind her eyes as Katara struggled to control the water. She felt stupid for ever thinking that a person like him could change his ways.

[Ursa + Young!Zuko - laces]
Zuko's fingers stumbled over the laces as he lost his focus but Ursa's gentle voice soothed his rattled nerves.

[Toph - water]
Aang quickly learned that Toph was not the best person to surprise with a water balloon; though he soon decided it had been worth it as Katara fussed over him with the first aid kit.

[Aang + Momo - Clouds]
Aang looped around the clouds with ease, laughing in delight as Momo began to mimic his actions.
_
[Sokka + Suki - dance]
Suki moved across the smooth floorboards in an almost hypnotic pattern, her eyes lit up in absolute joy as she explained each movement; Sokka found himself unable to look away, tripping over his own feet as he tried in vain to match her steps.

[Katara - protect]
Without a second thought, Katara knocked the earthbenders away with her water whip; she would do whatever she could to keep her friends safe.

[Azula + Mai - Pink]
Azula could whine and blackmail all she wanted but there was no way in hell Mai was ever going to wear something so pink; that was what Ty Lee was for.

[Zuko and Iroh; tea appreciation]
Zuko sighed in resignation as his uncle began to blather on about the various spices and ingredients necessary to fully bring out the flavor in each type of tea; Zuko didn't have the heart to tell him that they all tasted the same.

[Katara and Sokka; NEVER DO THAT AGAIN]
Katara's eyes widened in horror as she watched her brother shamlessly flirt with a pair of young girls they had passed on the street; the girls actually giggled and Katara's face contorted in shock - it was just wrong.

[Toph; PWNED]
As Sokka began to explain his 'oh so clever' plan, Toph lightly slid her foot forward, just enough to disturb the ground where he was standing - it was quite effective at shutting him up.

[Bakumatsu] Kanna - Origin
Lightly fingering the watch, Kanna thought of his mother. It had been years since she had died, leaving him alone, but he would never forget her gentle smile and quiet voice. She had raised him to be a gentleman.
Seeing that woman near Akizuki had bought so many memories rushing forth. With a shake of his head, he struggled to regain his composure.

[Bleach] Chad, Rukia - Temper
Rukia nearly jumped as Chad placed a hand on her shoulder. Smiling politely, she looked at the taller boy, surprised to see such a serious look in his eyes.
"Thank you."
Rukia blinked, uncertain of what she had done.
The taller boy turned to look at Ichigo before looking back at her. "You came back."
Understanding dawned upon Rukia and she gave Chad a genuine smile.

[Bleach] Karin + Urahara Shouten staff - on sale
Karin smirked as Jinta began to trip over his words, nearly falling as he hurried to help Yuzu find everything on her list. Looking to her side, Karin noticed that even the quiet Ururu had a hint of a smile playing on her face as she watched the two wander through the store.
Winking at Ururu, Karin cleared her throat, "And Jinta will be sure to give us a special discount won't he?"
Jinta paled as Yuzu turned to him with hopeful eyes. Karin sighed in satisfaction. That would teach him to mess with the real Karakura Red.

[Bleach] Renji - A good day to die
Rukia had once screamed at him for being so stupid and almost getting himself killed. Renji had brushed off her words, sarcastically noting that she had almost gotten herself killed until he had stepped in. Rukia had ignored his words until he was forced to admit he wouldn't mind dying if that was what it took to keep her out of trouble.

[Code Geass] Suzaku/Euphemia - Flowers
Cornelia didn't say a word as she watched her sister giggling to herself - one eyebrow rose in confusion before a smile overtook her features. It had been some time since Euphemia had looked so happy.
Euphemia barely noticed Cornelia as she lightly held the white rose in her hands, smiling brightly. He had been worried about her. She could still feel the warmth of his arms as he pulled her into a hug.

[D.Gray-Man] Rabi/Linalee - Sparring
The hammer was quickly swung to the right, but Linalee dodged it with barely a thought, jumping and twisting to the left as the hammer swung back at her. Landing in a crouch, she kicked her leg out and grinned as Rabi fell to the ground with a grunt.

[D.Gray-Man] Allen/Rinali - pillows
Allen could only stare in fear as Komui approached, an odd gleam in his eyes. Struggling to contain the gasp of fear, Allen held his breath as Komui glanced at Rinali. Somehow she had managed to wind her arms around Allen's while resting her head against his shoulder.
Clearly, he was going to die.

[Inuyasha] Miroku/Sango - Modern Innovations
Sango eyed Kagome skeptically as the other girl did her best to contain her excitement. In her hand she held some sort of case filled with brightly colored powders and ointments of some sort. Kagome had sworn up and down that it wouldn't harm her in any way, but Sango was still wary.
Kagome's eyes widened and before Sango knew it, she started to feel almost guilty for refusing the girl. With a sigh, she nodded once, nearly jumping as Kagome grabbed her in a tight hug.

Fidgeting, Sango glanced at her reflection in the small mirror that Kagome handed her. She didn't notice much of a difference. Her hair was styled differently and maybe the color around her eyes was noticeable.
Kagome clapped a hand on Sango's shoulder and smiled brightly. "Trust me."

After seeing the look on Miroku's face, Sango grudgingly began to admit that the hassle had been worth it. For once the monk was speechless.

[Inuyasha] Naraku - Regrets
There are times when Naraku wonders if meeting Onigumo have helped him accomplish anything. The feelings of guilt and lust distract him from his goals; the voice in the back of his mind that pleads for him to stop brings nothing but a headache. They are soon quieted as Naraku consumes the last of Onigumo's soul.

[Inuyasha] Miroku/Sango - Mistletoe
Sango glared at Inuyasha, Kagome, and Shippou, angrily pointing behind her. "Which one of you gave him that and told him what is was for?"
Inuyasha looked at the monk and winced, Kagome laughed nervously, and Shippou cocked his head to the side, a confused look upon his face. "Is he ok?"

[Kamikaze Kaitou Jeanne] Yamato/Miyako - Sideways Glance
Miyako sharply turned to her left and glared. "Are you staring at me again?"
Yamato just smiled as Miyako's cheeks began to take on a pink tinge. Miyako huffed and walked a bit faster, trying to calm her racing heart. He was staring again. Just because she admitted that she maybe, kind of, sort of liked him...
From the corner of her eye she could see him watching her every movement. The blush grew deeper and Miyako groaned.
The sound of laughter reached her ears and she turned around and kicked Yamato in the shin. Damn, stupid boy making her feel all confused.

[Rurouni Kenshin] Megumi - patience
She had long ago learned that the art of treating patients and healing their injuries took a considerable amount of hard work and an even bigger amount of patience. For the most part, Megumi excelled at her work, taking great pride in her ability to remain calm and collected.
And then she met him. He tested her limits and seemed to enjoy riling her up every time he came see her. Megumi would yell, her voice taking on a sarcastic tone as she repeated the same lecture during each visit. He would only grin and change the subject.
As the days passed, Megumi found herself almost looking forward to the near-daily visits.

Haine stared to her right, then her left. Furrowing her brow, she bought a finger up to her chin, tapping away. Right, left. Left, right.
Shizumasa had been her only love for so long but there was also Takanari to consider. She loved them both dearly and hated the thought of having to hurt either of them with her decision. With a deep sigh, she stared at both men before her.
"I've made my decision."
Walking away, Haine smiled happily. It was as if a huge weight had been lifted from her shoulders.
Takanari and Shizumasa only stared at each other in confusion as Haine exited the room.

"Don't even think about it."
Maora cheerfully ignored Maguri's complaints, continuing to wrap tinsel and ribbons around Maguri's slight form.

Haine could only blink in surprise as she watched Maora hold up a sprig of mistletoe. Blushing to the roots of her hair, Haine quickly backed away, nearly tripping in her haste. Maora caught Haine's hand to steady her, placing a quick kiss on her nose.
Haine squeaked in surprise, covering her nose as Maora cheekily grinned and wished her a happy holiday.
