Let's see, today I had physical therapy. I woke up and my lower back was killing me. My knees were better (I slept with a pillow under them) and my right hip was a little wonky. But I figured, perfect day for physical therapy. My mom came over to watch the kids because Ethan had to work (Zoë starts with Hooked In Motion tomorrow). Nothing too exciting. I think I got a really awful sleep because I've just been dragging all day which is no good because I have this essay-exam due on Sunday.
We ran out of milk, bread and cheese already - and groceries don't come until Thursday. I'm thinking we might have to switch services or actually start going to the store. I love Smith Brother's for milk and dairy products. And I love Spud's produce baskets but I think we need to go to the store or so AmazonFresh for the rest of our weekly needs. It's just hard figuring them out.
But, earlier, we ate lunch and then the kids and I made brownies in our new brownie pan (the As Seen On TV one that cuts the brownies into perfect sections). Each kid got to have a job and they did really good work. The brownies turned out good but I think they were in a little too long because the sides are crunchy instead of chewy. Oh well, they still taste fine, just not my favorite.
We also watched Enchanted (one of my favorite Disney movies) and I got to use the surround sound and listen to it while I was in the kitchen - fun!
In physical therapy today, Cindy tapped my knee to try and give my knee cap more support. I guess it worked but it wasn't a miracle cure. We took it really easy but things were still difficult for me and I ended up being really sore tonight. Ugh. It's really frustrating to know that my only option is to build up my muscles to support my joints but, until my muscles are strong, my joints are doing all the work and hurt. It's like this evil cycle. I sort of wonder how much experience Cindy has with hypermobility. I think it's a common misconception that hypermobile people are flexible and that's it - but there is so much more to it and there are no two hyper mobile people who are exactly alike, showing the same symptom.
Tonight Seth and Aleece came over to see the house and then we went out to dinner. We had to run through a down pour to three different restaurants until we found an available table. It was a fine dinner but, like I said, I'm super tired so I just had them go home at 8 so we could put the kids to bed and do whatever. I took a shower but seriously, i can hardly keep my eyes open so I'm totally just going to crawl in bed. I won't be effective on this essay right now anyways. I am just too out-of-it.
