I just don't get the whole "the world hates women, everyone is out to get us" crap that Women's Studies teaches. I honest to Geeb don't know how the hell someone could get through enough of it to receive a degree in it. It would take some pretty special (or freakin' wacked) kind of person, let me tell you.
Every three weeks we have an assignment due in my Women's Studies class. It's an anthology of essays. Each essay must answer five questions and be two pages long. There are always four sets of questions and one set which is extra credit. Of course I make it a point to always do the extra credit as I'm aiming for A's in all my classes this semester but tonight, when writing one of those two page essays, I hit a wall. I made the criteria for length but basically just ended it because I stopped caring. I still have a lot of (fun) writing tonight - about an hour actually.
You know what I love about Facebook? Getting re-connected with friends from the past. Sometimes (often times) I am disappointed. I find a friend who used to be really, really close and I think -Yay, we are going to be really, really close again- and then they aren't into it. I barely get a -what have you been up to?- What's great is those times where you reconnect with great people who have great stories and who you wish had been in your life continuously all those years.
