[The video comes up on two people sleeping. One of them is coffeenspeed. Rebecca is lying a bit awkwardly dressed in a tank top and a pair of pajama pants. She shifts, trying to get comfortable, squints and resists waking up in general then she feels the metal against her wrist. She goes completely still but it's clear from the tension in her body that she's ( Read more... )

[The clink of handcuffs can be heard. When Rebecca speaks it's a little tearfully. She sounds weaker, more vulnerable than usual]

We're handcuffed. So far...it's just being handcuffed.

Handcuffed together?

It's a curse. It happens.

[She's narrowing her eyes at you; clearly uncertain]

Why? No one handcuffs people without reason.

The City does.

Stay calm. Do you know the person you're cuffed to?

And at midnight they'll let us go? No torture or--anything else?

No torture. The curse might last more than a day, but there won't be torture.

[She still has her doubts, Justin. The certain tone of his voice helps though]

Alright. I can stay like this for days [weeks really] in that case.

I don't think so. He's making me coffee.

So do I.

Yes. So far he's been entirely non-threatening. If it weren't for the fact that we're in my house I'd think it was another curse like the furnace.

It's nothing like the furnace. That curse--with the handcuffs--it's more of an inconvenience and embarrassment than anything else.

It's definitely inconvenient.

[A brief pause]

Thank you, Justin.
