Lily let out a quiet breath as she started to wake up, curling into herself for a moment before stretching. And... her hand touched someone. That was strange. She opened her eyes, pulling back her hand to brush some of her mussed red hair out of her eyes. This wasn't her room. And this wasn't her blanket. And that was someone facing away from her, long blonde hair strewn across the pillow and -- yes, a little in Lily's mouth. Where was she?
She closed her eyes again, frowning in thought. Last night, a group of med students had gone down to the local dive. That's right. End of mid-terms and all, everyone needed to unwind. They had even met up with a few students from other branches of Starfleet Academy. Things had gotten a little out of control. Lily had drank more than she should've, probably, and her apartment was clear on the other side of campus. She was still wearing a shirt. That was a good sign. No pants, but honestly that was just how Lily normally slept.
Although the person next to her in bed, who was starting to shift a little, wasn't wearing a shirt. And Lily couldn't tell if they were wearing pants. Oh, hell, let's not be vague: if she was wearing pants.
Lily pushed herself up on an elbow, rubbing fingers into her eyes, and trying to get a better look at this girl whose bed she was in. She knew too many blondes, but not too many that she was close enough friends with to crash at their place after a night out. And to share a bed? That was a little strange.
As if conscious of the redhead's gaze, the blonde turned over. Christine Chapel smiled sleepily up at the other young woman. Lily blinked in surprise, but -- well, at least she knew Chris from a few of their shared classes. They had taken Introduction to Ethics together just last quarter, after all. She returned the smile, flopping back down onto the bed with abstract thoughts of falling asleep again for an hour or two.
"How'd you sleep?" Chris asked quietly, turning onto her side to face Lily.
But Lily didn't quite get to answer because, well -- it seemed Christine remembered a little more than Lily did about the night before, because she comfortably and confidently leaned forward and planted a friendly, warm and quickly tongue-filled kiss on Lily.
Well, that -- that was -- unexpected! And strange and not something Lily ever would have looked for, but. Um. It wasn't a bad kiss, after all, and Lily was so tired and comfortable. What could she do but reach up to push back some of Christine's blonde hair and happily deepen the kiss? Absolutely nothing, that's what.
