IT MAY BE A TREND

Last night was the 3rd night in a row that Riley didn't come into our bed. The first night I can't remember what happened besides the fact that she did wake up & needed to be soothed. The next night she wakes up & Daddy goes in, but she screams & cries till Mommy comes at which time I fall asleep with her for 3 hours then stumble back to my own bed. Last night she woke up once & I went in for I think about an hour, but not sure how long really. Then she woke up again around 6:30am calling for me I went in & she said she wanted water which I gave her, then she said hold hand so I held her hand then she said two which meant she wanted both hands held after that she says curtain open & all done which meant open the curtain all done sleeping let's get the day started. So that is what we did. It is a big step for her not to just come running to our room. I am really surprised that she has just been staying in her bed calling for us. I don't know if it will last, but it was nice to not have 3 people & a dog in a queen size bed for a few nights. I wake up so sore when I lay in her bed though since it has the high sides with skinny slates on the ends I can't stretch my legs out at all. Sadly though I am so used to her waking up at night that when she doesn't I lay awake thinking is she o.k., why hasn't she called. I can work myself up into quite a panic over it.
