Even though I used gloves to wash the dishes, my hands are really dry. But the kitchen looks 100% cleaner, so I suppose my ashy hands are worth it.
1. I don't think we're doing anything for Halloween, but in honor of the season we're making a pumpkin cake tonight. Yum! I can't wait to eat it ALL. Other than Liz's cream cheese pound cake recipe, I don't think I've made a cake from scratch before so I'm anxious to try it.
2. I have to go to Louisville on Monday for more training. It's getting pretty ridiculous at this point. I was just there on Friday for a "special" meeting that turned into a regular meeting. I felt myself getting more and more annoyed that I had to be there that by the end of it, I went straight upstairs, packed my stuff, and left. I mean seriously - 4 hours in a car for a meeting is just ridiculous. Tomorrow I'm learning more about blood and some system the company uses. It's just getting to be too much - I used to like going down to Louisville, but at this point I'm so over it. I like the little office here in Bloomington much better...and that it's only 5 minutes away doesn't hurt.
3. Tonight: Flavor of Love Reunion Special!
4. We're getting rid of cable soon. Actually, I'm supposed to call tomorrow to downgrade to basic cable. I think we'll get less than 20 channels. Hmm....I like the idea of not watching a lot of tv, but I'm a little nervous about the transition. I'm sure the first couple days (weeks?) will be rough. Though come to think of it, most tv shows are on the internet now so if I absolutely have to, I can watch something. But I want to get to a point where I don't "have" to watch anything. When I lived in Portland, my host family had a super small tv that they kept in storage until they wanted to watch a movie...which was ironic because the dad worked for a tv show (The Magic School Bus). Anyway, I wouldn't mind being like that at some point.
Anywho, I need to go to the grocery store!
