This is mainly aimed towards British Columbians (but talk if you wanna).
Is it just me, or is this proposed new HST that the BC Liberals thinking about putting forward next year kind of stupid? Honestly, it's kind of a douche-bag move to HIGHER taxes during a RECESSION (and although the government claims that the worst part of the recession is over, it's still not entirely over). Not only that, but right after the Olympics too? A ton of our money is going towards that anyways.
If the HST is put forward, we're all going to have to pay more money rather than just the split 5% or 7% depending on what we're buying. Honestly, every single time I see something in the newspaper about the HST, I get really pissed off.
Am I the only one out there who feels this? Because in Surrey (where I am), a ton of people are getting angry.
