Do our opinions count between elections?
Since the idea that MPs don't have to answer to their constituents between elections was mentioned several times in responses to allhatnocattle's post, I thought I'd point out this column on how it worked out the last time our MPs tried to ignore the popular will on a major issue of national importance.
