I question the intentions of global warming activists who focus all their attention on nagging people about their lightbulbs, and yet pay no attention to the supposedly detrimental effect of livestock. Are they all in the dairy/meat industry's back pocket?
That's funny, because in fact, when you meet environmentalists, you find a large number of them are vegetarians, and one reason they're in favour of vegetarianism is because of the definitely, not supposedly, detrimental effect of livestockAnd, btw, lightbulbs are a very interesting case. Plus I have only ever had to replace one (cos it was built with a shitty housing - no wonder, I bought it at Canadian Tire

You know what has an even more "detrimental effect" than livestock? Trees and oceans. Man. Those guys create a TON of greenhouse gases. We should totally ban them.
But you know, if we start talking about that, people might actually look at how weak the science is for "human-caused climate change" - and we can't have that, it's a whole groovy self-righteous political movement, now.
Compact fluorescents save me no money as extremely chilly Ottawa temperatures seem to kill them off every single winter.
