Canada deploys Tanks to Afghanistan

For years I have been saying "get rid of the Leopard, we don't need it in todays army".
Maybe I was wrong.
Turns out we might. Or atleast someone thinks so.
I don't know how usefull they will be, they will certianly stand up better to IED's and RPG's than Jeeps(I think they are actually Land Rovers, not sure), LAV's. And the 105's will pack a huge wholop in a direct fire role, but how will it be recived when Canadian patrols roll into town behind a massive tank....
The new deployement will bring us up to about 2500 troops.
Also included are anti-mortar units.
