Brief Update

I can see the surface of my desk....well, at least part of it. Believe me, that is real progress. I don't think my "space" has ever been so bad. So it is a beginning.

A woman stopped by late this morning with a cup of Luna coffee for me A welcome gift. As they say, "Life is too short for bad coffee". In truth the coffee at the abbey or priory is not all that bad but Luna is better. And Luna has associations of friendship that come with the coffee

The last weeks have been full of kindness as well as some challenges. I stayed at the abbey this week for a few days. We had a community retreat. I stayed in the infirmary area where the nurses provide excellent care. This offered the chance to learn how to manage the portable oxygen tanks. Now I have more flexibility and mobility.

We had a fine community retreat with Bishop Morneau and Sister Ann leading us. Conferences, meals, liturgies, fellowship - all were good. I preached at the Mass on the first day. (I took my oxygen off for the homily - didn't want to get close to a lit candle with that!)

Slowly life is returning to normal. "Glory to God for all things!"
