Sarah wasn't kidding when she said it was cold out--there's frost all over the windows and the wind outside isn't helping matters. Fortunately, the apartment building DOES in fact have insulation and heating...but that doesn't make it too much better inside

"I do try!" Sarah laughs and goes off into the kitchen, putzing around a bit in there before coming out with two big, steaming mugs of delicious chocolate goodness.

When Sarah comes back, Terra's all snuggled up in blankets and already starting to warm up. She definitely approves of these things. "You succeed!" She works one hand out to take a mug, but isn't quite cold enough to risk burning her tongue just yet. "So is it always like this around here?"

Sarah holds her own mug tightly and sits down next to Terra, trying to not fidget from the cold. "Well, today's colder than it has been lately, but if I remember correctly there's at least a little bit of snow around December and January in this area. I only started living here this summer, so I'm not entirely sure."

"There must be some damn fine perks to keep you living here in weather like this." She just shakes her head. "I personally think you're nuts. I've never seen snow in Jump City and I don't really want to." That cocoa's gonna sit for a little longer, but not too long.

"Well, I am able to see certain people a lot more often living here! And I lived in Colorado for the majority of the childhood that I remember, so moving back to California was a let down for the winter. I LOVED the snow...just not so much the cold that came with it." She giggles a bit and takes a iiiiiitty bitty sip. "And since I've been pampered with warm weather for about six years now, I lost my weather-skin or whatever."

"Yeah, I think that's the deal with me, too. Not six years, but it's been a while. If you invited me over to this place like five years ago, I probably would've been fine." Okay, now it's time to cut into that cocoa. Terra goes to take a sip... and hisses. But she still swallows it and oh man that is some good warmth. "Forgot that cocoa comes hot now."

"Heh, I was gonna say with all your travelling it'd be surprising if you hadn't ever gone to a cold place!" Sarah grins. "Yeah, you might wanna watch that~ Oh, and what kind of cookies you want? I've got enough ingredients to make just about anything."

"I've been in every state and some parts of Canada, so yeah, I'd be surprised too! Man... now I'm all nostalgic. Thanks a lot, Sarah," she says, faking offense. "And I've got enough of a stomach to eat just about anything! Go nuts."

She giggles and takes another sip, wincing a bit. "Whoops? I should dump some snow or something on you now, to make up for it~"
"Soy sauce and liver it is!" Or maybe fudge and peanut butter...ooh, and she could toss in some MnMs!

"Ooh, that sounds delicious." It may not come across as such, but she's being entirely serious.

Sadly, this possibility doesn't cross Sarah's mind! Hopefully Terra won't be too dissapointed in the lack of culinary expirimentation...
