The Significance of Ron's Patronus

Jan 16, 2009 20:43

Is there anything in canon that explains why Ron's patronus is a Jack Russell Terrier? It seems to me (and I may have this wrong) that a person's patronus shape has more to do with an animal that is significant to them than an animal that reflects that person's personality. Examples: Snape's patronus is a doe because Lily's was, Tonks' changes to a werewolf when she falls in love with Remus, . . . there were more when I sat down to write this, but they've flown out of my head. Have I missed a Weasley pet terrier? Or would this be a reflection of his personality, and therefore his animagus form as well?
