Question on Death Eaters
Hi, I'm new here. *waves*
Okay, my subject line kind of lies. I actually have *lots* of questions about the Death Eaters. So instead I'll just ask if anyone knows any good, canon-based sites on the Death Eaters? And not "OMG Death Eaters are teh cool!" sites. Just info on the organization, its members, its history, objectives, etc. I've been to the Harry Potter Lexicon, but I'm looking for something a little more in depth. Basically, my problem is that I only get a really vague idea of what they're all about from the books; I mean, I know they hate Muggles and Mudbloods (duh), but I'm curious as to what exactly their objectives are. Ejection of all non-purebloods from the wizarding community? Total eradication of all Mudbloods? Total world domination? And how are they organized - are they like terrorist cells, or more like an underground army, or an organization like the KKK? How strict is membership - can anyone pureblood join? What's the process of joining like - do you have to have someone "sponsor" or vouch for you? I know most of these questions aren't directly addressed in canon, but I'd like to see what other fans have theorized about them based on canon evidence. And of course, I'd appreciate any input any of you all might have too. ^_^
