Carl’s hand is on Jim’s forearm, his fingers gently digging in.
“What are you doing?”
Carl pulls his hand away and frowns at the half moon marks his nails had left behind. “Sorry,” he says, running his thumb over them.
Jim looks amused as Carl’s fingers slowly travel down his arm before finally stopping at his wrist.
“You never told me what this meant.” His fingers lightly follow the tattoo’s lines.
“Maybe it’s a secret,” Jim teases.
Carl leans in closer, as if to inspect it. His lips brush against the dark ink. “We don’t have secrets.” He says it without thinking.
“No?”
Carl looks up. “Do we?”
Jim smiles. “We’re not that complicated.”
Carl moves and he’s beside him again. Jim’s fingers find his.
“Carl.”
“James?”
Carl can feel him smiling, even in the dark.

David Silva closes his eyes, realizing his mistake too late. He opens them and softly touches Cesc’s shoulder. “Sorry.”
Cesc shakes his head and drops down on the bed next to him. “It’s okay. I know you weren’t really thinking of me. I wasn’t thinking of you either.”
David manages to find his hand. “Robin?” His fingers twist around Cesc’s.
Cesc remains silent.
David presses a kiss onto his shoulder and sighs. “I think I miss David.”
Cesc looks at the fingers in between his. Nothing like the ones he’s accustomed to. “I miss Robin.” And he lets go.
