the insanity needs to stop...

Sometimes I am baffeled by the fact that my family takes the definition of "Insane" to a new level && higher ground every day.

EDIT**Someone reffered me to Maria Mauro's Livejournal during this entry && it appears her mother is also pretty nuts. I hope you don't mind you're name in this entry Maria, but it was comforting to find someone else with a completly nuts family.

My family has always liked me the least. Some think it's a joke. Some think I'm lying. I know it's the truth...&& so does my family. They blame me for everything. If there's something wrong, Catherine must have caused it.

Screaming is their favorite volume
Complaining is their favorite hobby

It's the Cannon Family...

This morning I experienced something new...
I was awoken by the screams of my family, but they weren't directed towards me. (WTF?!)

True to form it began over something stupid...well I think this whole scream-fest was a continuing event && had commenced while I slumbered. So, when I woke the first sound to reach my ears on this disgusting Tuesday morning, was my Mom yelling at Suzannah because she didn't call a friend back.

You see we have day camp all this week at church for Bible Camp...My Mom's the director, Suzannah is a teacher, && Naomi is a Conselor. They needed hay for today for some reason && yesterday Suzannah offered to call her friend Elizabeth. Elizaebth didn't answer the phone so Suzannah left a message to call her back. Elizabeth never called back. Suzannah remembered Elizabeth was on vacation. Last Night my mother asked Suzannah about the hay. She said she still hadn't called back, they were on vacation she believed. Now here's were the story various from person to person...

**Suzannah's story (the one i believe because my mother has alzhimers): Suzannah claims she told my mom that Elizabeth is on vacation && that's why she didn't call back. At the time Suzannah was on the phone. My mom asked who she was calling now. Suzannah told her she was calling Kathleen to RSVP for a party. (Suzannah didn't think she needed to worry about the damn hay because my mom had said earlier the Bellmer's were her backup && she's call them if Elizabeth couldn't)

**Big Nance's sotry: My mom claims that Suzannah told her Elizabeth was on vacation and then my mom told her to call Elizabeth back. Suzannah then began to make a phone call && she assumed that it was Elizabeth because she had just ordered Suzannah to do so.

Whatever the occurence the outcome was that there WAS NO HAY. Aw shucks.

Anyway my mom yells at Suzannah, they debate over what really happened for 10 mins. my mom gives up, goes upstairs asks my dad to take my sisters & I to the church at 8 am and I don't know what really happened but through the floorboards I could tell that apparenty my mom cut off my dad && he flipped shit. Their following conversation consisited of a lot of yelling && unnecessary screaming && it sounded a lot like when my dad starts yelling at me.

Then my mom yelled at Naomi for something

Then my mom continued the trend && came && woke me up with screams. Apparently they were leaving && I needed to come with them. Even though yesterday she told me I didn't have to be here until 9:45 ish because I won't be doing anything until then.

SO WHY AM I STILL HERE AT 7:30 IN THE MORNING!!!!!!!!!!!!!

this morning was scary. to wake up && hear your parents yelling && hearing everyword clearly through the floorboards gives you a sense of the volume.

&& even though it was scary, it was at the same time comforting. my family has been completly off their rockers the past few days, but their ridiculousness was directed just towards me.
to have my family yelling at someone else && from behind glass seem all like true crazys, it made me feel better.

for that second in time, looking in, i wasn't the crazy one in the family. sure i was still the oddball, but if i never knew before && i never knew again, i knew for that split-second that I wasn't the crazy person for at least this once!

family affair
