still trucking
My last final is on Monday and it's our class crit for our two-minute animations. Tomorrow I have off and I'm planning on spending about 12 hours in the lab, even though I've put about 16 hours into the project since Wednesday. :-/ But hey, this is how I work. I'm also packing a lunchbox/extra food in case I find myself staying in the lab until the crit on Monday morning....
But I have LOTS of big news!!!!!
First, I heard back from CustomInk on Friday! I sent in my resume and cover letter on Monday the 5th and I got an email back from her saying that "Your application is in a select group of candidates that we would like to get to know better," and that I've beaten out dozens of other applicants to get to this next level. She sent back a questionnaire and I've been working on it today. How exciting!!!
I also had an interview at Dogtopia on Tuesday. If I don't get hired at CustomInk this is my fall-back job. The hourly starts way low but I get re-evaluated at 30, 60, and 90 days. I'm going for a working interview on Monday the 19th. However, I won't be disappointed working here (LOVE dogs!!!) but it's not in my field and even though it has great benefits, hours, and ability to grow it does start at 9/hr and I'd probably pick up a second job.
Which leads me to my next big news...
Last night I gave in my three weeks notice to Taqueria. May 30th is going to be my last day. I've been working there for five years, lived off of it through high school and ENTIRELY through college, and even met my soon-to-be-husband. We've both met and made friends there, some of which will be attending our wedding, but I've had a change of heart recently with these job offers coming in. I've worked there an almost embarrassingly long time and although it's great money I can no longer improve myself there. It's been downright boring to me and I no longer take pride in what I do! And I don't want to bring down the restaurant! Phew. So. Ryan is still going to be working there on Saturdays to my knowledge.
Okay, and last but not least, WE'RE MOVING! We found this great place in Fair Lakes -- Avalon at AutumnWoods. It's in a community that has a pool, gym, and tennis courts. Our apartment is on the top corner floor and has a balcony for Lily! We're finally movin' out of Westover the 31st! I'm excited to have a real grown-up looking place!
So.. much.. news...
P.S. -- I also lost 0.7 lbs this week which was a big shocker. Haven't run or gone to bikram for the last entire week! I can't WAIT to get back into exercising. Stupid school and stupid graduating. B-) I also had a UTI on Wednesday which didn't help :-\
