[ Recording on; and Itachi is dictating this to no one in perticular, just simply and idly wasting breath. ]
Which one is more worrisome, I wonder: the personal drama between certain parties or the supposed foretold predicament.

Kakashi couldn't really say that he was all too worried about the oncoming storm. That was nothing, really, compared to everything else, and he couldn't quite bring himself to care enough to really stay out of said storm's way. Let come what may, there was no stopping the inevitable, and all that; in the span of things, a storm was the least of everyone's problems.
He stopped not far from where Itachi stood, scuffling his feet across the concrete as he glanced back down. There was a moment where he didn't say anything at all, carefully glancing over the other's frame with an unreadable expression. He smiled predictably not soon after, though, and gestured up toward the skies with his chin. ]
Nice day.
[ It really wasn't. ]
So. What is it you want to see, exactly? The entirety of the city?

Dulled red hues looked up at the sky itself, seemingly in a mild trance at the blurring of clouds and what not. The Akatsuki robe was lazily draped over his shoulders and once he had heard the faint footsteps of Kakashi’s arrival, Itachi tilted his head slowly in the other’s general direction. Even if Kakashi was a blurred mess, Itachi could not mistake him.
Lowly, Itachi let out a huff of breath, one that could be akin to that of a dry laugh if one was to look all-too-closely into such a gesture. The irony in the question was enough for him to lower his head in deep thought before his figure turned itself fully to Kakashi. The fold of material rested his arm, and his words were those of typical apathy. ]
If you insist.

Analyzing, maybe, because that was what he did best. It was a bit more difficult to analyze someone who clearly didn't want to be analyzed, however, but Kakashi was rather used to that, after all this time. It came with the territory, he figured.
He didn't say anything for a second or two. Instead, he stepped aside and gestured in front of him with his hand, palm up and fingers relaxed. ]
After you.

Taking your place so suddenly?
[ Words dipped in the thinnest of sardonic paint, and Itachi turned his back to Kakashi. It was not trust as one may expect, but there was a mutual truce between them that went unspoken.
His own movements were not quick, long languid steps in one direction, a few flickers of his frame that showed vulnerability, but he did not bother to hide it as Kakashi already knew. And it would have been too much effort to hide his condition of decaying health. ]

He allowed the silence to linger for a good while. It wasn't that he didn't have anything to say, because he did. Kakashi typically always had something or other to say, and this time wasn't any different. He was just waiting, quietly, patiently, as relaxed as always.
When he finally spoke, he wasn't looking at him anymore. ]
You're dying.
[ There was no emotion behind his words, no underlining meaning. It was a fact, simply stated, and it rang out surprisingly loud into the atmosphere around them. Kakashi hadn't been sure, the first few times they met, but it was obvious now; every time he saw Itachi, the other seemed to be in worse and worse condition. This went beyond him just being sick.
His hands fell out of his pockets again, brushed down along his sides, and Kakashi tilted his head, focusing primarily on the path in front of them as they moved. ]

It seemed as though the poison was certain taking it’s toll, and doing a perfect number on Itachi.
When Kakashi had stated the current condition that Itachi was in, he slowed down before halting his steps -- then without a second being wasted, he continued to walk. His eyes were focused on the ground, as that which was before him made Itachi prone to slight headaches from the blurred vision that made his eyesight succumb to almost non-existent.
Nonetheless, he was silent when they continued to walk, side by side. But after that long stretch of muteness, Itachi spoke.]
My eyesight will cease within two weeks at most.
[ However, Itachi did not speak of his overall health. ]

Death may have been impermanent in Nuadoria, but that hardly meant anything to Kakashi. It was still an unpleasant experience, and it was still one that Kakashi wasn't keen on having happen to a potential ally. Aside from that, he wasn't sure the sort of impact it would have on Sasuke, and if it would only continue to happen repeatedly after that --
They turned a corner, and Kakashi let out a soft, thoughtful, inaudible breath of air. ]
I can't help you if you won't let me.

His eyes were still glancing at the ground, following the other’s footsteps as he turned the corner, albeit slowly, and continued to walk. He had no reason to take in the environment, or what was around them. instead he passed a glance to Kakashi, his eyelids narrowed as though he was trying to focus on the other’s appearance. ]
I’m flattered you’re so concerned.
[ It was low and slow mockery that left his mouth. ]
However, there is no cure for the poison I have consumed.

Well, as much as I know it must kill you to be positive, I'm not so --
[ He stopped mid-sentence and mid-step, fingers tensing against his sides as the rest of his body followed in suit. There was something of a tremor that ran through the atmosphere around them, and as subtle as it was, it was enough to catch Kakashi's immediate attention.
He stood there silently for a second, and then he was gone, just like that, patrolling their immediate surroundings in less than five seconds before he was back at Itachi's side, expression unusually troubled. His fingers curled against his palm, now, and his mask was already down, Sharingan revealed.
Well, shit. What the hell. ]
Did you feel that -- ?

He turned back to Kakashi, his eyes swiveled in their sockets as though he had felt another presence, but the faint shards of glass had turned his expression tense, firm with narrowed hues. The air thinner, and forcing Itachi to intake a sharp inhale of air, casting it out in a small affirmative sound. ]
Yes.

-- I don't see anything.
[ Damnit. This was the more annoying, aggravating part of the city. Sometimes, when things like this happened, there was no direct explanation for them, and from what Kakashi had heard, the solutions tended to be harder to come by than what he was typically used to.
His expression and the tenseness in his muscles gave way to his poorly contained irritation. He held his palm out silently, watched the flecks of glass fall into his hand, and let out another breath. ]
I don't think there's any real immediate threat we need to worry about.
Yet, anyway.

We should move quickly.
[ The words themselves left his mouth quickly; because even though his eyesight was undeniably poor, and the way his chest heaved was weak, it was noticeable how the ground was littered with the faint shards of glass that soon enough started to spread out.
And perhaps in a moment of restlessness, Itachi had jumped onto a roof top and overlooked the area, squinting slightly as he let out a soft, hardly even audible, cough. ]
Even if there is no threat as of yet, it does not excuse us for not being cautious.

One second. I'll check the network.
[ He had his communicator out in his hand, standing steady on the rooftop Itachi had stationed himself on as he peered down onto the glassy screen of the device in his hands. It took him less than a second to find that particularly interesting post left by the Ice Magister's sister, and his brows furrowed over his forehead for a brief second.
His thumb brushed over the screen to get rid of the fallen glass, and Kakashi rolled one shoulder back as he glanced over to Itachi. He took another quiet second to analyze him again, and it wasn't hard to tell that he was struggling in the harsher atmosphere. ]
It appears as if this would be the doing of the Ice Magister, Caim, and his sister, Erielle. It seems to have been accidental; they mentioned something about a mirror, which would somewhat explain the broken glass we're seeing now --
There's not much more than that, right now.
[ He slipped his communicator back into his pocket. Kakashi was safe from breathing in the shards of deadly glass, but Itachi... well. Itachi was in bad enough of shape as it was. It probably wasn't the best idea to be outdoors at the moment, and the sooner they could get inside somewhere, the better off they were, in the end. ]
Let's go.

I suppose it would be too much of an effort to request an explanation.
[ The words idly muttered to no one in particular, and Itachi shrugged slightly to rid of the glass that had settled on his shoulders. A nod of acknowledgment was passed to Kakashi, noticing the words and with swayed sluggish movements -- not slow, but not as though he was in a hurry either. But simply exhausted. The slight slow and barely noticeable welling that was emerging from his throat made Itachi feel slightly tense. Yet his expression was nothing but soft.
His head was casted downwards, following his own steps; his visage graced the features of one that was in deep contemplation. ]

It wasn't until two minutes later that Kakashi appeared at his side, expression blank, fingers wrapping around the other's wrist and smearing faint spots of blood along his skin. ]
Come on.
[ His tone was flat, emotionless, not too different from the sort of voice that Itachi typically carried. It didn't really say anything at all about how he felt, or about what he thought of the situation. Kakashi breathed slowly, tightened his fingers around his wrist before Itachi could pull away from him, and was moving again, landing a few inches from a small house one or two seconds later.
Kakashi released his wrist and tried the door, shoving his shoulder against the hard wood to force it open when it stuck it a little in the frame. He glanced behind him to Itachi, cocked his head slightly to gesture him inside, and disappeared past the doorframe into the open room beyond. ]

And yet, when they got to the residence, Itachi wasted no time to enter. It was in an instant that Itachi removed the robe from his shoulder and gave it a firm shake -- the fragments of glass littered the wood below them before it placed it back on. And with another sharp inhale, there was more warmth that resembled that which smudged along his wrist. A small rivet of blood flowed down the corner of his mouth.
But still, he wiped it away with the material of the sleeve of the robe. But when he was forced to open his mouth to let out another cough, a faint splutter of blood appeared on the robe, turning black into a deep vermillion. However, he would not speak of it, pretend to be ignorant and oblivious as he followed Kakashi, leaning against the doorframe. ]
