One downside to the bus strike this winter which I may have mentioned is that I had to use my bicycle a couple of times in midwinter but I don't really have "room" to clean it off after it gets snow/salt on it. (I live on the 3rd floor, no garage or space to clean it in, especially in -20 weather.) Now I'm really regretting it, because the chain is too rusted to use! I'm trying to decide whether I should get the bike fixed and tuned up, since it doesn't fit me that well, or buy a cheap secondhand one to use for the summer that is more my size.
But anyways, I have really been wanting to get biking, so it's driving me nuts! I see all these jolly people biking by while I am walking.. I can't just go out and buy one on impulse either, I'll have to budget for it over time or something.
