dreams
I had 2 really funny "dream endings" right before waking up, this morning and yesterday morning.
-Yesterday morning I was having a dream about being back in High School, and right at the end I was walking outside and someone was parked with a pickup truck with a really pathetic looking ostrich curled up in the back of it. All of its feathers had fallen out and it was really sad looking. "You can't bring this to a zoo," someone said--my high school was also a zoo-- "It need an animal hospital!" "This zoo has an animal hospital!" the driver/deliverer retorted. Just then I heard an irritating beeping sound like a truck backing up and I kept looking around, thinking: What is that irritating noise? It's really bothering the ostrich! And then I woke up and it was my alarm.
-This morning I was dreaming that I was at a surreal version of "KlezKanada", the Jewish music camp I went to back in August. Someone said "Hey, there's a new crop of youngsters everyone! Which of you just arrived?" I put up my hand along with two or three others. "Great," they replied cheerfully, "you have to be initiated into the camp with a baptism!" (OK, this is sounding pretty un-Jewish so far.) Henry Sapoznik, found of "KlezKamp" was walking around and he was supposed to give the baptisms, but he looked none too happy about it. He came up to us and started handing out wet-naps (the kind you get after a meal in a restaurant) and he whispered: "Can you guys do it yourself? I'm just not feeling up to touching you guys in this way..."
