I bought a few little things lately to liven up my life. I bought a cezve/ibrik to learn how to make Turkish coffee because I have been seeing a lot of movies lately where it is served and it always seems so friendly ;) However as Tasha and I were discussing last night once could probably never recreate that kind of friendliness in Canada because people are unwilling to respond to that kind of offer. Coffee? No thanks. Geeez if I wanted some I'd have bought some. :(

I also bought some placemats/coasters at dollar store that look like giant oranges gleaming with water and leaves.. and a tea-towel (?) with fruit on it, but they are all kind of the wrong/ugly colour, like the bananas are all dark green.

Indri and I saw a 6-pack of "Green Tea Ginger Ale" (?) on sale in Zellers but it was something like $6.99 for the 6-pack. Just to try and untested drink? Yeah right, Zellers!

Also my dad brought me back a Vihuele from Guadalajara, I dunno what I will do with it though! It's about halfway between a guitar and a ukulele.

Mine has a vaulted back and a really nice sparkly sun-ring around the soundhole.

musical instruments, food, coffee
