I'm glad it is still nice enough outside that I can bike home and not catch a chill.

I went to a nice potluck tonight, lucky for me it was supposed to be a sex party but they realized it was Ramadan so they moderated it to a vegan potluck, hahaha. Only during Ramadan are parties at my kind of pace, I guess!

I was thinking a lot about what we talked about on the way home, about getting older and having higher standards of friends and in this case having almost all gay friends. But--I know this goes without saying for a lot of people--I really don't think gay people have a monopoly on being nice, decent or on-the-mark. It's true we understand each other better on a certain level, but I also think there's a value in being loyal to friends of all stripes. I take the pessimistic/realistic approach: "If they don't try to ruin it, I'll try not to ruin it."
