Twice today, and no less than four times in the past couple weeks, I have had variants of this conversation:

Other person: hey, what's Daniel up to these days anyway?
Me: Oh, he's in Bosnia...
Other person: BOSNIA?!?!?!?!? Whaaaat? Why, that's utterly outrageous!

How come so many people are so confused and in the dark as to your whereabouts? Maybe it's a sign that your mysterious ways are catching up to you!

Oh, I think you underestimate the number of people who ask about you! It happens a lot.

I shan't name names on livejournal, lest the involved parties feel persecuted for their ignorance! I must say the confused, head-shaking responses are kinda hilarious though.
