I am prepared to believe the evidence of my senses and of science, but unicorns do not fall within that evidence. The stuff of fairy tales and stories for children.

There has never been a time without unicorns. Humans, however, no longer know what they look at, so we largely remain unknown, and are glad of it.

Then why should it prove so difficult for you to find others of your kind, if you are what you say you are? We can't see you for what you are, after all.

Unfortunately we cannot hide from humans without also hiding from one another. But I have been to the forests of the others, and they are dead. The unicorns are not in them.

The forests. Forests with unicorns living in them are ever green and ever in flower. It is always spring.
