I loved this episode. Yes, am I bothered that more people tell Clark his greatness. I mean by now he should take a hint and put on a red and blue uniform with a cape or fly. That is one of my reasons why I don't want a s9. It is just prolonging him being Superman, which he should have became by now.
We come from the future
The beginning of the episode was awesome as we enter the barn a streamer is titled "To the Future", which is a cute throw to the new people we will meet.
Garth was great, some have coined him annoying but I disagree, I liked the boy's enthused spirit. Not only was he a Superman fanboy; he was the general audience's spokesperson as well. ('Where's your cape?', my favorite is Garth's disappointed reaction "Can't fly? Rokk what's up with that!", "Are you sure we got the right guy?")
Aw, hero worship. I felt bad they discovered their hero was not in full swing, but it's good that they still believed in him at the end.
This episode reminded me of Action, in a way. Just no psychotic fanboy.
"You understand sacrifice more than anyone"
Saturn Girl seemed to be a Lana sympathizer. The last time the writers gave us one of those was in Trespass, of course he was very insane.
It was funny how Lana at first thought the girl was delusional. I do believe she is the first person to tell Lana "I didn't mean to scare you" and sincerely mean it. lol. I felt sorry that this girl was asking Lana something that had incredibly been the fallout of the Clana relationship. Hence Lana's emphasis "Hells to the no. Do you understand?" Later, Lana will tell Saturn Girl "You were only doing what you thought was best" pointing out there is no grudge against her request, also because in s7 she herself believed that killing was the solution too.
I never thought that Lana hero worshipped Clark until "the Clark I know would never doubt himself- He would never waver!"
I did enjoy the Clana scenes. :)
I found it annoying that she is always in black. I get it. Also, Lana's BS "I'm another person" WTFE.
When the Legion mentioned Chloe changing her name, Chlois may have came to mind but I thought of something better WATCHTOWER.
I'm at the point where I don't care if Lana, Chloe, Lois, or Shelby is the reason why Clark will fly. I just want him to.
