Random Updates (written Friday)
howdy from Cedar Park. i took today off a while back so that i could go to the lake with my friends this weekend, but the trip got cancelled due to logistical things, so i'm here for a long 4 day weekend with just the dog. it's good that we're saving money on his daycare for the weekend but i don't love being totally alone for like 3.5 days. clayton's in steelville, MO for a bachelor party weekend (SO JEALOUS he's going on a float trip!).
right now i'm pinteresting and going to maybe find some paper to throw together some rough sketches of what I want out of our master bathroom. i've been meeting with a few different contractors and i'm hoping i finally found one i like. she's a woman, which is already more amazing for me to work with. i felt like one of the contractors i met with was a total douche and kept asking if i needed to ask my husband for his permission. uhhhh no. she's really nice via email so i'm very excited to meet with her on tuesday. just wanna have my ducks in a row first.
clayton's doing well at work. his boss says he can probably get promoted a few times even in the first year. he did so well on his first interview in fact that his boss asked if he cheated somehow :) good for him!
my work is ok. it's finally very apparent to my management that i'm doing the work of at least 4 people so i think they're working on ways to distribute the work and get more folks involved. that should be good. i'm just kind of feeling burned out for now.
this weekend i need to do some shopping for dog items, picking a paint palette for the house, maybe painting the laundry room. For sure priming Saturday.
