Okay, I already commented on this, but I went to go see the movie again today (because my husband was all offended I went without him...even though he states he is not a fan) and...the ending with Kirk in the bed...I really wanted/visualized them doing exactly what you are showing. I so much think they would do this that I wouldn't be surprised if this was a deleted scene (oh, geez, I wish it was)...it just fits so well.
