Since I Need to Update At Least Once a Month
Well, everyone, November's nearly done. Here's a brief(ish) recap of my goings on, in case you missed out.
-We started the month with Batman. During the month of October whysoserious.com had a batman jack-o-lantern that was rotting away on one side. On Halloween, the site clicked over to a new page where the Joker wanted people to go on a scavenger hunt and get pictures of letters to spell out a ransom note. Once that was finished (around 4:00 or so), the site opened a link to rory'sdeathkiss.com, where the Joker told us to wait til November 1st, then paint up with our friends and go take pictures at local landmarks. We did just that; there were 14 or 15 of us painted up at the Varsity that night. Submissions were accepted until the 17th, when the site added a message saying anyone whose picture had been accepted should expect mail sometime around Thanksgiving. So, Saturday I get home and check my mail and I have a package. I open it and have a bunch of copies of The Gotham Times, and the picture I submitted is on the back page with a couple of others. Now we work at figureing out what comes next.
-Thanksgiving was cool. Jayne came with, which was fun. I think she had a good time, aside from being nervous about meeting my family. We saw Hitman on wednesday, which rocked ass, then hung out with the parents and brother and sister-in-law. Thursday was the whole Thanksgiving deal, which went a lot better than I was expecting. Friday, I got Jayne back to her parents, and then spent the day getting my car packed up and then hung out with my parents. Saturday, I came back to the apartment, and then had a meeting about my summer theatre project, which is really starting to roll now.
-School sutff has been okay. Got registered for most of my classes, and am trying to figure out how to get this internship rolling for next semester (I'm probably going to be running publicity for the theatre). I'm really starting to hate this Directing class; at least I'm done in 2 weeks. Which brings me to my most frentic bit; my directing final is on the 10th of December, and I feel like I'm scrambling, which is never a good feelnig, especially when you feel like one of your instructors just really doesn't like you as a student. Additionally, I've got my Public Speaking final on December 5th at 6:30, which I have to have 4 guests come to, so if you can make it and are willing, please let me know, and please only say you will if you actually will and aren't showing up for someone else already, as I need a headcount, going into this thing.
-Finally, we've got one more week til 21. Planning is in full swing now, and if anyone knows of a good karaoke bar with private rooms, let me know. Also, if you want in on the public part of my birthday party (the karaoke and whatever comes after), let me know and I'll get you the information as I get it.
