The Dalton Little Theatre has been kind enough to allow us use of their space on the evening of Saturday, July 28th, so I am pleased to be able to invite you all to see Feint Theatre Company’s production of Charles Ludlam’s “Stage Blood.”
In “Stage Blood” a traveling theatre company is in town to present their rendition of “Hamlet.” However, things are not exactly as they appear, as one of the actors walks out on the day they are to open, the stage manager claims the theatre needs to perform new works instead of rehashing the classics, and the manager downs an entire bottle of liquor in an attempt to calm his nerves for a booking he didn’t want in the first place. Murder, intrigue, and hilarity ensue.
One word of warning; this show is not appropriate for children, as it contains adult language, violent images, and sexual themes. “Stage Blood” will be performed at 8:00pm on Saturday, July 28th 2007 for one night only. Tickets will cost $10 and proceeds will go to the Dalton Little Theatre’s scholarship fund. Don’t miss this odd, but fun-filled look at what goes on backstage because the show must go on.
