Election Day
Today is the Canadian federal election. I voted last week and celebrate the election from a hotel in Oak Ridge Tennesee. I hate not being able to watch real coverage. The icing on the cake is that the conservatives are clearly going to win. So not a great day for my political brain.
So yeah, I'm in OR for a course for work. It's a pretty interesting course actually. I'm learning some of the ins and outs of the analysis software we use for crit safety calculations, which is cool. I'm a little bummed tonight though. I'm in a relatively new relationship right now and he was out of town last week and I'm gone this week. I'm all sad and lonely tonight.
On the upside, I did go and spend $150 on clothes today... assuming one can consider that an upside. It'll be great until I look at my credit card bill next week. Though I suppose this means I'm supporting the wrong economy!
I have been watching SGA, but I'm trying to get some time to be more coherent about my thoughts before I post much about it. Although... Keller sucks... I blame the writers. Evil asgaard are pretty cool, Daniel and Rodney geeking together is awesome, the travlers still are a bit odd and I cringe and Jason's wig every week now - though I smile at Jason, so it's all good. And where in the system is the control crystal that makes the Atlantis gate the only one that can dial to other galaxies... wouldn't it have blown up? Also, if Zelenka ever dies from all the things that John keeps dragging him into (throwing him in a spacesuit, blowing him up etc) I will be very annoyed.
