Hey, I'll agree the first half of LoK was an extremely good show! First four episodes were exactly what I signed on for! It's just...the second half dropped so many plot threads and themes in favor of really...poorly considered character focuses that it sort of soured me on the rest of it as a whole. I still think Korra herself is a really great and awesome female character. I just wish she'd been allowed to have development that hadn't hinged on really cheap character resolutions! I wanted her to Learn Things! I liked that she HAD to learn things! And also, I wish Mako didn't exist (which is sad because I liked him in the first few eps when he was kind of just a genderswapped Katara in attitude) -- I think it's really just a case of the creators REALLY not knowing how to pace a 13 ep series and. uh, well. falling in love with their own ships so hard they forgot to give US reasons ot love them, too.
lol no not so much hatesex because I don't think Roku ever reciprocated but more Sozin being so hung up on Roku he apparently never got married and had any heirs until AFTER his death, according to extra-canonical things.
