Nice & timely Yuletide recs, among others
Pretty sure there were more, but I failed to take good notes and now I've forgotten. ^^; Somehow (how?!) these are mostly gen.
"Noble Experiments" by Grey_Bard (Temeraire) - The one about dragon suffrage and Prohibition. Mainly clever and fun but there's one line that brings bawww without fail.
"A Great Storm in the Sky, the Sun in the North" by daphnerunning (12K) - Multipart Tai reunionfic that ticks all the right boxes.
"A clear glass window, at a sea dawn" by lionpyh (Bujold, Chalion Saga) - About Umegat. Whoops the prose in this is prettier than Bujold's.
"Dragonsearch" by Edonohana (Pern) - Mirrim and Path rock out on Search.
"Calling to the wind" by Leaf Litter (Earthsea) - As a rule I don't read fic for Le Guin works, but this is well done. Post-series.
From the recent Yuri Challenge:
"Rewind" by terajk (MadoMagi) - Being Homura is suffering.
"L'Estasi di Santa Homura" by SailorPtah (MadoMagi) - Homura and Madoka and incorporeal sexytimes. Needless to say I am super on board with the idea, if not every aspect of the execution.
Also:
"Weathering" by caeslin (Honey & Clover) - Hanamotocest, with asexual!Hagu, which I have been meaning to commend to everyone lo these many months.
