Logistically Haplo would win.

Using the power of nostalgia

God. Those books were so homoerotic. I was too young to know what was going on but even then I knew I liked it.

You are making me want to go back and read them, but I don't want to ruin this magic I cannot remember.

Oh my god, do not touch them again by any means! Just remember that there were awkward gay friendships FROM TWO DIFFERENT WORLDS and magical dragons but also evil dragons and a cute dog. Oh and that one chick MILF Alfred dates in a fit of denial who dies in like the following chapter.

Why do I remember all this so clearly when I can't even remember what I ate for breakfast, goddamn

I am seriously even beginning to wonder if I read these books at all, I am sure I did but...Score! I found the books in my brother's old storage box.

re: memory, Obvs it is an enduring passion. idk

I remember that other one (out of the many other ones) Weis and Hickman wrote about that red headed wizard who fell in homo love with an arabian prince sorry calif and in hetero love said prince's wife, and there were angels and djinn and goldfish...and this is all quite confusing.

Oh and also that Haplo's people were cool with ladies marrying ladies and bros marrying bros!

AH, THE 90s, such an innocent time.

Also I am admiring how you come straight out with your pre-adolescent crushes on angst-ridden-protagonists from books of dubious literary merit uuuu wish I could be so bold ////

I love dorking out at terrible SFF. So cathartic.

Aaahaha I loved them both. Although I did spend almost an entire summer reading the Death Gate Cycle as opposed to what, three days with the Vanyel books... XD;;;;;;;;;;;;;

And I adored Haplo (yes he should have won!), but also Alfred. I. I mean. TURNING INTO A DRAGON kinda beats all for me.
