Strange day

After hearing the news today, Jeroen and I were then 100% sure we wouldn't be doing anything for Queensday. At a park nearby they had planned some stuff so I thought I could take a walk there and see what they were doing, and that was that ( Read more... )

Good to hear you had fun today after all. S. and I worked outside in the garden, finishing up the fence he placed yesterday and removing the old plants and rubbish that was now inside our garden. I also sanded down and painted my old "bistro set", so we been keeping ourselves quite busy. I am still shocked when I think back at everything though. A strange day indeed.

Yeah, it was a very sad day :( I don't know how it hit you really, emotionally, but I know it's my favourite holiday and it got crushed. It was heartbreaking for me to see queen Beatrix almost in tears conveying her sadness for the victims. I can only imagine what it's like to a) be target of an attack like this and b) know people died as victims because of it :(
