Too much running.
I didn't expect I'd be running around this morning; I woke up on time, went to walk the dog, came back home right on time to still make me a sandwich for lunch, and take it easy. When it was time to leave and take my bus, I still had a few minutes to spare so I took it easy and walked without any hurry, that was till I noticed the bulldozers in the middle of the road, opening it up completely.
uh oh.
Chances were that my bus was being sent via a different route, and indeed, I get to the bus stop and there's this big sign saying that I have to go to another stop cause this one's closed. That totally crashed my non-hurry mood and I ran like crazy to the other bus stop which is like three streets further away, at least 5-8 more minutes than my usual stop, and made it there right on time, panting like a dog. (Gods, I need to pick up the treadmill at fitness again one of these days)
The bus driver drove like an ass all the way to the station so I even made it on time to take one bus earlier, that meant I had to run again to catch it, but better be inside a warm bus than outside in the cold and rain (screw this dutch summer, screw it right in the ear.)
So yeah, I was at work pretty much early today.
I hope I won't need to rush again to catch my bus this evening. It helps that we now moved offices and we are much closer to the building's exit, but still.... :)
