S'my birthday!
Today I turn 28, eek.
We will get together with Jeroen's family, and my parents of course, to have cake and snacks here at home, and then we're all off to a Spanish restaurant to eat dinner together. Should be fun!
I haven't posted much lately but things have been okay around here. My parents are having a good time though I think they have had some difficulty adjusting to certain things, for example, mom keeps having sugar highs and lows, and my dad just got a cold, god knows if it's from the wind or coldish weather.
We've been to Het Loo, to Amsterdam, and depends on how my dad feels (and if the weather cooperates) we might hit the Apenheul next week, and of course Hoorn to visit the Holly Family for a while.
I asked my parents if they were interested in seeing other parts of Europe, the most feasible being Belgium as it is near and all, but they rather take it easy and stay in Holland. Their intention was never to try to see the whole of Europe in two weeks, they much rather stay with us home and watch a nice movie and have a cup of coffee, so that's what we've been doing hehe.
We've watched some episodes of 24 (season 5) and that's kept us busy in the evenings.
By the way, as a b-day gift, Jeroen gave me the whole season 6 of Start Trek Voyager, with lots of extras and stuff, so yay. Happy Niche! :) My parents gave me a set of pants & shirt for fitness, and my bro sent me a black sweater with hoodie. I loved it! :)
Well, I better sign off now as the guests will be here soon.
